Arek Wolski
Born in Warsaw in 1972. He graduated from the University of Gdańsk in 1998, majoring in physical oceanography. Since completing his studies, he has run his own design studio, learning skills through trial and error. Jewelry was his first love, but he now also creates larger forms—sculptures, furniture, and lighting. He is a member of Grupa Sześć. His works have been presented in private galleries and museums, including the Danish Museum of Art & Design in Copenhagen, Holon Design Museum in Israel, and The Museum of Arts and Design in New York.
"From design to art I try to keep my activities clearly divided. Most of my time is spent on design. Creating a good product that is widely accepted by the audience gives me great satisfaction. But the most important thing for me is being an artist—occasionally, and only when I have something important to say from my subjective perspective."
